Fine Wine and Dining in Chamonix
La Cabane des Praz
23 route du Golf, 74400 Chamonix, Tel:+33 (0)4 50 53 23 27
Just had an excellent lunch at La Cabane, the perfect summer dining venue overlooking the 14 hole of the golf course. Excellent food with a good value menu du jour and good service. The building itself is a beautiful log cabin and there is plenty of seating indoors and outside on the terrace. For fine dining at lunch time this is a great venue. The restaurant is open 12h00 to 15h30 and 19h00 to 23h00

Cha Cha Cha
134 avenue ravanel le Rouge, Chamonix, 74400, Tel: +33 (0)4 50 93 47 74
If you are looking for somewhere more sophisticated to drink then this is THE place. ChaChaCha is a new and exciting concept for Chamonix combining wine tasting and wine shopping. You can sit at the bar and sample wine, browse around the spacious premisis and look at a great selection of wines from all over France and other parts of the world. The whole place has a real feeling of space and class. You can also attend organised wine tastings and is a great place for groups to go to. In summer you can sit outside and sip some lovely white wines or champagne. If you like wine then check it out.

Sarpe
30, passage des Mottets, Les Bois, 74400 Chamonix Mont-Blanc, Tel : +33(0)450532931
My favorite place to eat in Chamonix is Le Sarpe in Le Bois. It is a delightful converted farmhouse that has a very relaxing atmosphere. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. It is slightly off the beaten track so perhaps attracts fewer tourists. Be prepared to speak French! There are no English menus!

Eden Hotel Restaurant
35 route des Gaudenays, Les Praz de Chamonix, 74400, France Tel: +33 (0)4 50 53 18 43
This is a real favourite of mine for a special occasion. This is a genuine gourmet experience. The food is delicious and the service top class. The hotel itself is a lovely traditional building set in the village of Les Praz and the atmosphere is very relaxed. If its your birthday or wedding anniversary then this is a great place to go. Of course if you simply enjoy great food then go there anyway!!

La Dolce Vita – Italian Wine-bar & eaterie
88 Rue Lyret, Chamonix Mt Blanc, 74400, France Tel: +33 (0)4 50 53 91 29
My personal favourite as the ambience is very relaxed. You can either drink/eat at the bar or sit at one of their small tables in the avenue or larger tables at the back of the room.
Select your wine from a vast selection of selection on their wine list covering all the wine producing regions in Italy.
The Italians really know how to put fantastic food and wine together to create wonderful dining experience. If you want to try something a bit different try the White Truffle ravioli Mmmmm. Italy at it’s best!

Although hidden away this is a place worth finding! It is an ideal place for an informal meal with good pizzas and excellent garlic bread. The portions are very generous so you could certainly share starters (I really must do that sometime!!).

Totally agree. Dolce Vita is a great place to relax and with Zenato wine on the menu a great place to drink.
