Ski Safari Verbier to Zermatt

27th February to 5th March 2010.

If you like the idea of making a journey in the mountains, but feel that ski touring might be bit too tough for you, then a Ski Safari could be just what you’re looking for. Essentially the aim is to travel a long distance, but by careful route planning use as many lifts as possible to minimise the amount of skinning uphill you have to do. Some have even referred to it as “Touring without tears”.

Very successful IASI Level 2 Course in Saas-Fee

The IASI Level 2 Alpine Ski Instructor course in Saas-Fee, Switzerland was a great success. Congratulations to Wayne Fahey, Stephen O’Kane and Darragh Holmes who all passed the Level 2 award.

Saas-Fee is an excellent summer venue and one which both IASI and Parallel Dreams will look at using in the future. IASI recently set up an historic agreement with BASS Chamonix Limited (Parallel Dreams) meaning that its courses can now be run under license via the instructor training arm “Parallel Dreams Training“.

This new agreement has received a lot of publicity recently on web sites like the Ski Club of Great BritainNatives.co.uk and others.
