French Language Courses

BASS Chamonix has teamed up with PLAY2LEARN this season to offer you the chance to learn and improve your French.

For our seasonally based instructors & seasonaires we are offering these unique language courses as an extension of the Wednesday instructor training & seasonaire training sessions that we already run. Visit our “Instructor Training” or “Seasonaire Training” pages on this blog to view the full details. These sessions are booked directly with BASS Chamonix.

Private lessons are also available as follows;

Private language sessions
Experience the joy and freedom of learning a language out of the classroom! Weather you’re a complete beginner wanting to learn a new language, or a ski instructor looking at getting a job in the ESF, our language trainer can design a program for you, as an individual, or a small group. Take advantage of having your own language trainer to have a program tailor made to suit your individual needs. Lessons take place on snow at any of the ski areas in Chamonix, bringing language learning and skiing truly together.

Here are some photos of the new base station for the Aiguille du Midi cable car in Chamonix. The project is coming along nicely and nearing completion. Good to see investment going into the area.

BASS Chamonix Director jumping out of a plane!

The 10th of July is fast approaching and I would just like to remind everyone that I will be “JUMPING OUT OF A PLANE WITH THE RED DEVILS” to help raise money for Disability Snowsport UK. It is the Skier & Boarder’s Charity and is the official charity of the British Association of Snowsport Instuctors (our Instructor Members Association).  Recently BASI & DSUK supported The Crystal Holidays Challenge event in Mayrhofen in Austria and that is where this idea all came together.

Sir Steve Redgrave is heading up the team which also includes Alain Baxter (British Olympic Athlete), Andrew Lockerbie (BASI Chairman and part time instructor for us here at BASS Chamonix), Gareth Roberts (BASI Alpine Director) and many BASI Trainers and Staff from BASI, DSUK and Crystal Holidays.

If you have already supported us then THANK YOU. There is still time to make a donation however large or small would be fantastic.
